Although emeralds are sturdy gemstones, they still require special care to maintain their brilliance over time.

Follow these guidelines to ensure your gem retains its original allure even with daily wear:

1. Avoid exposure to heat or very hot water.
   
   
2. Remove your emerald jewelry when handling harsh chemicals.
   
   
3. Never use ultrasonic or steam cleaners.
   
   
4. Gently scrub with a soft brush and warm soapy water, only when needed.
   
   
5. If possible, do not apply creams, perfumes or other substances directly on the gemstones as it can make them opaque overtime. 

Note that emeralds have a natural fragility compared to other precious stones.

We strongly recommend you to be attentive not to hit your jewelry against any hard surface as this could cause an irreparable damage on the gemstone.
